Cryogenic photonics (collaboration with Meir Orenstein)

Cryogenic photonics aims at operating lasers, modulators and detectors at temperatures ranging from 4 K to 100 K. This requires completely new designs based on new device physics. The aim is to improve significantly the efficiency and energy consumption of optical links in data centers.
